Amenities

Use It Or Lose It!

Grateley is very sparingly served with Amenities at the moment. The parish lost our village shop and Post Office in 2018 and “Time” was called on The Shire Horse Pub on Staion Approach back in 2010. Even The Plough Inn has spent a year recently sitting empty and unused before being given a new lease of life.

These should serve as a reminder that if we want to keep services and attract new services to the area then we have to use what we have as much as possible. Here are links to the service businesses located within Grateley itself. Please frequent them if you get the chance.

The Plough Inn - Gurkha Baynjan

The revitalised village pub now has a restaurant serving delicious and authentic Nepalese food while still retaining its traditional pub function.
